2010-05-07 - Self-Totaling Quantity Text Box Alternative
What: `Self-Totaling` lines now have the option of having text box quantities as opposed to only drop-down quantities.
Why: Self-totaling lines have traditionally come with a drop-down quantity box. This feature is very desirable for many members; however, it does have it`s limitations. 1. Each option adds to the overall size of the page, where as a text box does not have options. Members that require large quantities, find that there forms have become enormous because of the number of options in each of the quantity drop-down selection boxes. 2. Drop-down quantity boxes might add extra keystrokes. First you must open the drop down box, then search for your entry & finally select it; while using a text box quantity, all you do is enter the number.
How: Change to a text box quantity (for the entire form) by Clicking on the My Forms tab of the menu bar; then click the Miscellaneous Form Settings tab (also located on the menu bar). Select radio button Qty Text Box, then click the Update & Continue button.
2010-05-04 - Save & Retrieve Form Data using Cookies
What: In addition to the Save & Retrieve Form Data with a login prompt, we have now added the ability to use cookies for the purpose of pre-populating a form by a return client. Save & Retrieve Form Data using cookies is now the default mode for all new & existing forms.
Why: The use of cookies to pre-populate forms was requested by several our members. It will save your repeat clients time by not having to replicate information.
How: To turn off this function, click the Integration tab of the menu bar; then click the Save & Retrieve Form Data tab also found on the menu bar. Select radio button Do Not Save & Retrieve Form Data, then click the Update & Continue button.
2010-04-24 - Auto-Confirmation Email Form Results Detail Attachment
What: Form results details can now be sent to your clients as an attachment to their Auto-Confirmation Email. The attachment will be in the same format as the form results Full Page Report, which is fully customizable.
Why: You can now send all of the form result information (via auto-confirmation email), to your clients, without having to define each variable field in the body of the email. Ideal for purchase receipts.
How: Add the form results detail attachment by clicking on the Notifications tab of the menu bar. Select radio button or checkbox Client Email Receipt with Form Details Attachment; define an email; then click the Update & Continue button.
2010-04-11 - Copy/Delete Multiple Items
What: The ability to repeat or delete the entire section of a form; or copying more than one selected item at a time is now a reality. The `Copy Multiple Items` function allows you to select all of the items you would like copied and where you would like to place them. Once your selections are made, a single click will rearrange the form per your request. The same is true with the `Delete Multiple Items` function. Select all items you would like deleted and with one click they are all gone.
Why: Huge time savings when creating any form.
How: From the Form Editor page, click on the or the button.
2010-03-31 - Auto Confirmation Email Setup Revisions
What: The Auto-Confirmation Email setup has been simplified. We removed the selection box on each variable field and replaced it with a fixed/unique field id. The list of field ids along with their descriptions now reside in a drop down box, instead of fixed on the page. We also added an `Add Field Id` button, that automatically adds the selected field id to the body of the email when pressed.
Why: Using variables inside the body of an email can be a foreign concept to many of our non-techie members. We felt that we had to simplify the process to help with the confusion factor.
How: Get to the revised Auto-Confirmation Email setup by clicking on the Notifications tab of the menu bar.
2010-03-28 - Revised Menu Bar
What: The `Menu Bar` consists of the tabs that run across the top of every page on our site. We have just made major modifications to the menu bar`s look, categories and organization.
Why: The new format will make it a lot easier to navigate around the site and find the functions you are looking for.
How: Tabs at the top of every page.
2010-03-09 - Form Results Email HTML Alternative
What: Form results sent via email now have both text & HTML format options. An email sent, with an HTML format selected, will have the same look as our database backed `Full Page` report and will be sent as an attachment. The `Customize Full Page Report` option will allow you to make changes to the format of your HTML style email.
Why: For members that must absolutely send their form results by email, this enhancement gives them a more readable/ printable option.
How: Change to form results via an HTML email by clicking on the Form Results tab of the menu bar; then click the Form Results Settings tab (also located on the menu bar). Select radio buttons 3. I would like all of my client data sent to me via e-mail and HTML Format, then click the Update & Continue button.
2010-03-01 - Form Results Email Attachments
What: Form results sent via email now allow true file attachments. In the past, if you opted to have your form results emailed to you and a file attachment was uploaded, this attachment would stay on our servers and a link in the body of your email would point you to it. Now, the file attachment is actually sent with the email and stored on your email provider`s server.
Why: This now means no storage limits or expiration dates on your file attachments (at least not by us).
How: Change to form results via email by clicking on the Form Results tab of the menu bar; then click the Form Results Settings tab (also located on the menu bar). Select radio button 3. I would like all of my client data sent to me via e-mail, then click the Update & Continue button.
2009-12-29 - Third-Party API
What: Third-Party API allows the automatic transfer of form results to any external web site that is willing to accept it. Examples range from online payment processors like Authorize.net to accounting software like QuickBooks Online to populating a central corporate database in real-time.
Why: API interfaces are great potential time savers. In the accounting software example, instead of having to post each of your financial transactions by hand, the entire posting process happens without any intervention on your part. Finally, setup for our third-party API interface is usually handled by developers. Armed with the third party software system documentation, a developer can usually map the fields and complete the interface in less than an hour (depending on complexity).
How: Click the External Interface tab located on the menu bar. Then click Third Party Interface setting (API) under the same menu.
2009-12-15 - Drag & Drop Form Colors
What: Form Colors can be easily modified using our state-of-the-art drag & drop technology. There is a list of about 300 fixed color choices that you can drag to up to 10 color zones on the form. Color zones include both backgrounds & text foregrounds. If one of the 300 fixed color choices do not satisfy your needs, you can create a custom color by entering the it`s hex number, then dragging it to the form area.
Why: This makes the task of changing your form`s colors easy and fun.
How: Click the My Forms tab located on the menu bar. Then click Form Colors under the same menu.
