Weekly for College Basketball
Two different file types are available, Versions 1 and 2. The major difference
in the two Versions is that Version one has game statistical data such as rushing
and passing yards, first downs, turnovers, etc. and also includes all post season
Playoff games and Super Bowls. Version 2, which is available for more seasons than
Version 1, does not contain games stats or postseason games but does include information
on Sandwich and Reverse Sandwich games, games after scoring or allowing a certain
number of points, etc. and is geared more towards straight pointspread situational
research. Depending on your style of handicapping and research you might prefer one
Version over the other, so please check out both Sample files to find the one best
suited to your needs.

The data included in these files are very similar to the data included in the
NFL Version 1 files in that game statistics are included as well as pointspread information.
One unique aspect of these files is that both OPENING and CLOSING Lines are included
(from the Stardust Sports Book in Las Vegas prior to 2006; Westgate Sportsbook (formerly the Las Vegas Hilton and LVH)
thereafter). Since very few college football games have historically had Over/Under
Totals posted, this data is not included for seasons prior to 2009.
Beginning
with the 2009 season Opening and Closing Over/Under Totals are included the Data
files.
Data includes all post season games including the NBA Finals. Closing Lines and
Totals from the Stardust Sports Book are used prior to 2006, Las Vegas Hilton Sportsbook
thereafter. For overtime games, the score at the end of regulation and the number
of overtime periods played are given.
Every game involving a Division I team is included in the Data Base files. Also
included are games against non-Division I teams. For the more than 2,000 lined games
each season, both OPENING and CLOSING Lines from the Stardust/Las Vegas Hilton Sports
Books are given. Begining with the 2010-2011 season Opening and Closing Totals (Over/Unders)
are given for the vast majority of games which also have a regular pointspread. As
the number of teams classified as Division I has increased since our initial data
base from the 1990-1991 season the number of games included in each season's data
base has increased from just over 4,500 games in 1990-1991 to just over 6,000 games
in the most recent full season of 2018-2019. There are 5,768 games for the recently concluded shortened 2019-20 season.
Data is included for every Tournament game played since 1985 right up through
the 2023 Tournament won by Connecticut. Data includes seeding information for winning and
losing teams, conference affiliation for all teams, Tournament round for each game,
Opening and Closing lines, Opening and Closing Over/Under lines (beginning in 1990) plus much more.
Extensive data is included for every regular season major league game, including
Closing Lines and Over/Unders, the Starting Pitchers for both teams, Current Winning
or Losing streak for both teams and the HOME PLATE UMPIRE. Six key stats for each
starting pitcher are also given.
